Rare Crown Trifari Clair de Lune 1950s Alfred Phillipe Fur Clip Brooch

Exceptional and highly collectible vintage Crown Trifari “Clair de Lune” fur clip, dating to circa 1950 and from the celebrated Alfred Philippe era of Trifari design.

This beautiful dimensional piece features luminous clear demilune faux moonstone glass cabochons accented by vivid ruby-red square-cut rhinestones. The center is formed by a circular row of sparkling clear rhinestones, accented by dramatic sweeping gold-tone crescent forms.

The combination creates a wonderful play of light and dimension and is characteristic of Trifari’s sought-after Clair de Lune jewelry.

The Clair de Lune collection dates to approximately 1949–1950 and is associated with renowned Trifari designer Alfred Philippe. Designs from the collection were filed for patent in late 1949, and Clair de Lune jewelry was advertised in Harper’s Bazaar in February 1950.

The reverse bears the desirable Crown TRIFARI signature along with PAT. PEND., consistent with its early production period.

The piece retains its original double-prong fur clip mechanism.
