Antique shell Cameo Brooch Goddess Demeter Intricately Carved

This Antique shell Cameo Brooch showcases the intricately carved image of the Greek goddess Demeter. The oval-shaped pink shell is set in 800 silver and features a beautiful pink hue that is sure to catch the eye. The brooch is handmade and has an Art Nouveau (1895-1910) era feel to it.

The silver purity is not marked but was tested as having some silver content but lower than sterling. I am assuming it is 800, but I am not 100% positive. I am stating this by my own experience. This cameo is very old, and this is based upon my experience with cameo. She has a very straight nose and is a goddess profile. Typical of the art nouveau style.
