The pattern has a wonderful Jazz Age look and is finished along the bottom with a scalloped pointed fringe.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe gold-tone metal frame is particularly lovely, with embossed floral and scrolling decoration and a classic ball kiss-lock closure. The purse hangs from an elegant elongated-link metal chain.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe construction and styling are strongly reminiscent of Whiting \u0026amp; Davis mesh purses of the period, although I have not located a maker’s mark and am therefore selling it as unsigned.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eMeasurements:\u003cbr\u003ePurse body approximately 3.5” wide x 5” long\u003cbr\u003eStrap drop approximately 5.5”\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eCondition:\u003cbr\u003eGood antique condition with age-related wear. There is visible wear\/loss to the painted finish throughout the mesh, which gives the purse a wonderful authentic aged appearance. The photos also show some looseness\/separation and irregularity to the mesh near the frame\/hinge areas, so please review all photographs carefully for condition. The frame shows age-related wear and patina.
